Client: Monterey Birth & Wellness Center
Projects: Website, Collaterals
About the Project
We originally met 2/3 of the inspiring "Wifeys" , while working at The Sanctuary Birth & Family Wellness Center. Heather & Jacqueline had been doula trainers and student midwives who had trained and mentored Renee as a doula. When they asked us to be part of the their new adventure of Monterey, CA first freestanding birth center we couldn't resist the opportunity. Their vision to provide the first birth center in the Monterey Peninsula was a much needed. The Wifey's have supplied Northern California with a center that focuses on families' care that values our body’s normal physiologic processes, while combining safety and technology with respect and compassion. Parents are able labor and give birth in the center’s peaceful, home-like birthing rooms which each come equipped with a large, 2-person birth tub, private bathroom and outdoor patio, and a comfortable family bed where the new family can cuddle, breastfeed and bond.

About the Project
Renée met Monica Woods, while working at The Sanctuary Birth & Family Wellness Center.
Monica reached out to us needing a more clean and responsive website to her private practice. We worked to create something that utilized some of their already known branding in the Santa Monica and Calabasas area. Our goal was to make an easier to navigate website. With the help of some incredible birth photographers, Rebecca Coursey-Rough of Los Angeles Birth & Family Photos and Diana Hinek of ArtShaped Photography, the site really came to life.

About the Project
Renée met Lara Catone, while working at The Sanctuary Birth & Family Wellness Center. I'd done previously to help promote and design materials for her postpartum Restore Your Core Program. So when Lara asked me to be part of the important project I couldn't resist the opportunity. Her vision to create a school focusing on women’s holistic health and sexual wellness was inspiring. Lara has developed the most leading-edge approach to both education in these areas as well as technologies for working with the body.
The Artemis School's certification program is not only teaching women about sexual health but is empowering as well.

About:
We met Dr. Fischbein when he joined the Sanctuary Birth & Family Wellness Center. As Southern California's only source for out-of-hospital breech and twin vaginal delivery, it was fascinating to meet a doctor who has such a unique and midwifery based model of care. Something we had never encountered. Our philosophy with everyone at the Sanctuary, was that although they were a collective group, each unique practice could be marketed on their own. Since, Dr. Fishbein was also the co-author of Fearless Pregnancy and his Birthing Instincts website was in dire revamping, we came up with a strategy that would not only highlight his professional skills and projects but also be a place to gather and share evidence and social information.
After several years, Dr. Stu has now been asked by several organizations to teach his skill to various groups. We now manage the logistics of the Reteach Breech seminars and trainings.

One of the problems we had with the current marketing and advertising pieces was consistency and transforming a the pieces from former partner to something new. Keeping simply stylish fonts, but adding graphic elements was key. Also, developing a stand out product for mailings-- which was formally done by printing out flyer, folding and mailing. The addition of the rack card gave a bright and professional method.
We developed a simple website for clients to see current listings, get property information and contact.

About: With an established presence within in their local community, RKJ Fabrication & Construction was ready to expand their services to outlying areas. One of the first request we received was to provide an overall updated look to their current logo. Not wanting deviate away from the impactful R K and J we changed the solid, rather plain, lettering with a variety of sheet metal styles. This provided a more modern look with an immediate recognition of trade. Once the logo was agreed upon we then were tasked with creating a sales sheet. RKJ was ready to meet with larger companies and wanted to have a tangible piece to showcase their work, however it needed to be simple in design but informative in nature. At this point we had tackled all of their graphic design and print. Next up was an online presence. In the fabrication and construction industry, RKJ was met with the challenge of trying to market to multiple generations. We felt it necessary to create a social media account via Facebook to market towards those that use social media in place of the phone book and of course we created a website for a much more detailed, in depth look at their portfolio.
